Ooredoo prepares to market its mobile-phone services in the third week of August and is testing its mobile network, sources from Ooredoo Myanmar say.
Ooredoo Myanmar has been checking its mobile network before launching the services and the sale of mobile phones to the public, said Myint Zaw from Sale Department director of Ooredoo Myanmar.
“As we check on the system, the efficiency of our mobile network seems to be better than expected. Now everything is sure to run smoothly. We are collecting data from individuals and contacts in addition to the responses from our representatives. In doing so we will know which areas are needed to improve on. We will start introduce our services in the third quarter of this year and will provide better services,” the director said.
Ooredoo Myanmar has signed agreements with companies to distribute SIM cards and other mobile products. Ooredoo has appointed six sale agents. The six are Great Ayeyawady, Myanmar Distribution Group, Consumer Group Myanmar, Capital Diamond Star Group, UMG and Myanmar Golden Star.
