Invitation to foreign and local companies to express interest (EOI) in providing Broadband Wi-Fi service in Myanmar. Dateline: 30th November 2013.

The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) plans to supply Broadband Wireless (Wi-Fi) in public areas in Myanmar via Joint Venture with both foreign and local companies. The service will enable easy and convenient access to the internet for the public.

Interested parties can collect the information pack from 21st to 31 October 2013 from Engineer General, Department of Information Technology, Myanmar Communication Affair, Nay Pyi Taw,

Technical and business model proposal must be submitted by 4:00 pm on 30th November, 2013 together with the following documents:

  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Memorandum of Association/ Articles of Association
  • Details of foreign technology partners that the bidder is partnering with and what technology will be used
