CDNetworks has expanded to Myanmar with a new telecommunications business and newly established points of presence (PoPs) in partnership with its parent company KDDI Group, the South Korea-based global content delivery network said.
CDNetworks’ PoP in Myanmar increases its network coverage to 13 locations throughout Southeast Asia.
Toru Maruta, chief technical officer of CDNetworks, said, “Increasing our customers’ reach throughout Mainland Southeast Asia helps them tap into a fast growing market.”
Besides adding CDN coverage, KDDI entered the communication business in Myanmar as part of a three-company collaboration with Sumitomo Corp and Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) in July last year.
With a new point of presence in Myanmar and more than 40 throughout Asia, CDNetworks said its customers can now reach Southeast Asia with their ecommerce sites, online gaming, and mobile applications.
