Myanmar Government Seeking Business Co-operation in Liquid Natural Gas – Expression of Interest. Closing Date 28 Oct 2016

INVITATION FOR LETTER OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO CONDUCT LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS (LNG) BUSINESS IN MYANMAR
 

  1. LNG Business Sector Implementation and Development Central Committee (“the Committee”) under the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar is planning to implement bulk import and re-gasification of LNG project(s) in Myanmar through private sector participation.
  2. All interested foreign companies are cordially invited to submit a non-binding Letter of Expression of Interest, together with the following documents:
    • Article of Association
    • Memorandum of Association
    • Certificate of Incorporation
    • Latest Audited Annual Report
    • Company’s track record in bulk LNG import and/or regasification
  3. All documents shall be submitted in a sealed envelope superscripted “Confidential” “Myanmar LNG Business” to the following address not later than 04:30 pm, by 28th October, 2016. LNG Business Sector Implementation and Development Central Committee Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE) Office Ministry of Electricity and Energy Building No.44, Nay Pyi Taw The Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
  4. The Committee plans to select private sector participant(s) to implement bulk LNG import and/ or regasification project(s) through a competitive selection process.

This request for Expression of Interest (EOI) is not an offer by the Committee, but an invitation to receive responses from interested parties. No contractual obligation whatsoever shall arise from this EOI process. The Committee reserves the right not to proceed with any of the project(s)/ activities mentioned herein.
