Myanma Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) has expanded its IP-VPN service to 55 cities across the country. According to MPT, enterprise customers using the IP-VPN service can now connect hard-to-reach locations or temporary sites into their virtual private networks.
The expansion of the IP-VPN network includes Myitkyina, Kathar, Monywa, Magway, Taung Dwin Gyi, Yae Nan Chaung, Sittwae, Thantwe, Nay Pyi Taw, Tat Kone, Pathein, Chaung Thar, Hinthada, Latputtar, Yangon, Hlegu, Mandalay, Pyin Oo Lwin, Myinchan, Kyaukse, Thar Si, Lashio, Taunggyi, Loikaw, Bago, Nyaung Lay Pin, Thar Yar Waddy, Myawaddy, Kyaikto, Mawlamyine and Dawei, where business, enterprise and government clients can extend and connect their network through a mobile access-based proposition.
In December, MPT also plans to make its IP-VPN network available in Ba Maw, Sagaing, Kalay, Pakokku, Kyauk Phyu, Ottara Thiri Myo Thit, Bokalay, Ma U Bin, Myaung Mya, Kyauk Pan Taung, Meiktila, Moegyoke, Tadar Oo, Tachileik (East), Muse(North), Aungban (South), Kalaw (South), Nyaung Shwe (South), Taungoo (East), Pyay (West), Hpa-An and Myeik.
