With an array of coherent computer networking and value added services, AGB Communication Company is now shifting its focus from Yangon to other cities around the country.

AGB Communication Company, awarded the near-field communication (NFC) 1 license in 2015 and currently providing Metro Fiber and Broadband internet services, has been supplying its amenities to 80 percent of townships in Yangon Region, according to company’s director U Sithu Aung.

“Internet services have been provided to 80pc of all townships in Yangon, and also to other cities, such as Taunggyi, Pyay, Monywa and Mawlamyine. We are now striving to focus our services to the remaining cities and towns around the country as well,” said Sithu Aung.

Aung Gabar Group of Companies (AGB) has been in business for the past 26 years undertaking export and import businesses, producing and distributing various kinds of hoses and pipes, importing an extensive range of lubricants from Singapore Petroleum Company (SPC), and BAIC motor vehicles.

In 2014, AGB set up its own communication company, and since then, it has been providing, besides the mentioned Metro Fiber and Broadband internet services, value added services, such as Internet Protocol Virtual Private Networks (IPVPN), Cloud Service, Cloud Storage, Cloud Base VPN, and IP Transit, for both home and business use.

IPVPN is a service which interlinks one office to another, and Cloud Service provides not only Virtual Private Server and Cloud File Server, but also Cloud Base VPN services that can be utilized as a VPN Server.

AGB Communication Company also makes sure whether or not it will be able to provide its services to its customer by undertaking a land survey of the customer’s location.

A 24/7 Monitoring System tracks the customers, so as to provide any necessary assistance without any delay. For any customers’ queries or problems, there’s an 8am to 8pm Help Desk Call Center, which we are trying to extend it around the clock, he explained.

If an issue cannot be solved by phone, we have onsite support services available during office hours, he added.

Apart from these services, AGB Network Academy has been established, with an aim of producing internationally-recognized network engineers.
