Passport holders of China’s Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) visiting Mayanmar for tourism purposes will be granted visa-on-arrival entry to that country, authorities said.
The Identification Services Bureau of Macao said in a press release on Tuesday that these visas will be granted upon arrival at the Yangon International Airport, Mandalay International Airport and Nay Pyi Taw International Airport for a maximum stay of 30 days.
Such measure will take effect from Oct 1, 2018.
A total of 138 countries and regions have agreed to grant visa-free access or visa-on-arrival to Macao SAR passport holders. In addition, as Chinese tourists have been welcomed by more foreign countries recently, many tourism friendly countries like Mauritius and Maldives have offered visa-on-arrival policy for Chinese tourists.
